Training
today was an interesting day for me and the dogs. We headed over to Delamere forest for our second long run training session. We took Michael as our own portable hare and set out to complete the white route.
Sadly it would seem that most of cheshire was intent on walking the white cycle route and perhaps worse still, those people felt required to comment on the large man with two dogs on a scooter.
The comments ranged from "that's the way to go!" to "it's cheating" - in general the humour was friendly and interested rather than judgemental. Sadly each encounter broke our pace, interrupted the flow and whenever the walkers had a dog forced a dismount and run to keep us on course.
How did the dogs do? - Very well indeed- 7 miles and still happy, no loss of style, no over the shoulder glances with a "you can't be serious!" expression and most important of all, no sign of fatigue

Perfect
The past three days have been fascinating trips for the dogs. Christmas morning was quiet, still windless and lonely. The only traffic being a pair of lone runners seeking their endorphins ahead of the festive day. Boxing day was a blast- literally. The winds were so strong that my clothes flapped wildly and Mishkas tail flew horizontally in the onslaught.
Today however was perfect. Right amount of sun, right amount of wind, right amount of mud. Just perfect.
